About Us

01 ABOUT OŪRI

Thoughtful care, brought closer to everyday life.

OŪRI was created to make traditional self-care knowledge feel less distant. We develop considered tools and learning experiences for the face, scalp, and body—helping time-honored practices find a natural place in modern routines.

02 WHY OŪRI

The problem was never a lack of products.

Wellness tools are everywhere. practical guidance on how to approach them is much harder to find.

People often begin with curiosity, only to be met with conflicting techniques, vague instructions, and routines that feel more complicated than expected.

We believed the object and the knowledge should never be separated.

03 OUR BEGINNING

OŪRI began with what Qing kept seeing in his students.

Through years of teaching Tai Chi and traditional Chinese wellness practices, Qing met people who were genuinely interested in caring for themselves but often felt uncertain when practising alone.

They did not necessarily need more techniques. They needed a clearer way to understand what they were already trying to do.

That observation became the starting point for OŪRI

The brand was built around a simple question:

How can traditional knowledge be translated into something people can understand, remember, and realistically return to at home?

OŪRI continues to develop from that question.

04 THE TEACHER BEHIND THE METHOD

A teaching perspective shapes everything we create.

Qing has spent years teaching Tai Chi, movement, and traditional wellness practices to an international community.

His role at OŪRI extends beyond appearing in videos. He helps shape the logic behind each practice—from the order of movements and the pace of instruction to the way an unfamiliar technique is introduced.

His experience also informs what OŪRI chooses not to create.

We do not add unnecessary steps simply to make a routine appear more complete. We do not develop products without first understanding how they will be taught. And we do not treat traditional practices as passing visual trends.

05 HOW WE MAKE DECISIONS

We ask more of every product.

Before a product becomes part of OŪRI, it must meet a clear standard. It should contribute something useful—not simply add another item to the shelf.

01

Usefulness before novelty

We begin with a genuine need, not a trend.
Every shape, feature, and format must have a clear reason to exist and a practical role within the experience.

02

The method starts with the design

We consider how a person will understand and use a product from the beginning of its development.
Teaching is not added after the product is finished. It is part of the design process itself.

03

Fewer, more considered choices

We prefer versatile products with distinct purposes over large collections of similar tools.
More options do not always create more clarity.

04

Made for real routines

A product should work within ordinary life, not require life to be reorganized around it.
We consider the time, space, attention, and confidence a person is likely to have when using it at home.

06 OUR POINT OF VIEW

Our standard is not perfection. It is continuity.

We believe self-care becomes meaningful through attention and repetition—not pressure, urgency, or constant reinvention.

A practice does not need to be elaborate to be intentional. Traditional knowledge can evolve without losing its meaning. Good guidance should gradually create confidence rather than dependence.

Most importantly, care should leave room for the person practising it.

01 Care can be intentional without becoming complicated.

02 Guidance should create understanding, not overwhelm.

03 Small practices can still carry meaning.

04 Tradition can be adapted without becoming superficial.

07 WHAT COMES NEXT

We are building a living body of practice.

OŪRI will continue to develop tools and learning experiences for the face, scalp, and body.

As the collection grows, each addition must answer a real need, offer a distinct purpose, and remain consistent with the principles behind the brand.

We are not interested in creating the largest possible collection.

We are interested in creating a thoughtful one—supported by knowledge that can continue to grow alongside the people using it.
